We are dedicated to complying with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines provide a comprehensive framework for making web content more accessible to a wider range of people with disabilities. The Catapult Network is committed to integrating accessibility into our company mission statement, procurement and staff training.
Here are some of the features we have included to help you access and use https://www.catapult.org.uk:
All images on our website are provided with alternative text descriptions. This helps users who rely on screen readers to understand the content and context of the images.
Our website is designed to be navigable using a keyboard alone. This is crucial for users who cannot use a mouse or other pointing devices.
We ensure that text on our site is easy to read. This includes using high contrast between text and background colours and choosing legible font sizes and styles.
Our content is structured with appropriate headings, lists, and other navigational aids. This assists all users, especially those using screen readers, in understanding the layout and flow of information.
Forms on our site are designed to be accessible. Each form control is labelled clearly, and instructions are provided to help users understand the required input.
Microsoft Edge – select the ‘Text Size’ option from the ‘Page’ menu in the toolbar and choose the size you prefer. Or alternatively, enlarge or shrink all objects on the page by pressing the CTRL key and pressing + to increase or – to decrease the zoom level. To return to the default size, hold down the CTRL key and press zero. You can also access the same options from the Settings menu icon on the toolbar and selecting the ‘Zoom (100%)’ option.
Firefox – enlarge or shrink all objects on the page by holding down the CTRL key and pressing + to increase or – to decrease the zoom level. To return to the default size, hold down the CTRL key and press zero.
Safari – Zoom in or out on web content by using the Zoom toolbar button for more comfortable reading. Images and graphics also scale up while the text remains sharp, keeping the web page layout consistent as you zoom. To add the Zoom button to your toolbar, simply choose Customize toolbar from the View menu and drag the button onto your toolbar.
Chrome – To adjust the zoom or font size in Chrome, open the browser, click on “More” in the top right corner, select “Settings,” navigate to “Appearance,” click the down arrow next to “Page zoom” or “Font size,” choose your preferred option, and click “Customize fonts” for additional font settings.

We are committed to enhancing our website’s accessibility features continually. Future updates will include improvements based on user feedback and advancements in web accessibility technologies.
